Guidestar: Silver Status!

On this Lenten day, fresh off of a stellar weekend of Peter and the Angel, we have some exciting news to share!

Richmond Catholic Theatre has made Silver Status with Guidestar!!

We have been on Guidestar since our nonprofit status in 2016, and I have perused the database extensively looking for advice, operating procedures and requirements.

You may be asking yourself, what is Guidestar?

Guidestar is an organization dedicated to nonprofits and nonprofit philanthropy. Their mission is "to revolutionize philanthropy by providing information that advances transparency, enables users to make better decisions, and encourages charitable giving."

Organizations are compiled into a database with their financial data, IRS public documents, mission statements, programs, impact, governance information and reputation, providing donors a platform to learn about what these nonprofit organizations are doing and how it is contributing to the community.

"...We are a 501(c)(3) public charity that collects, organizes, and presents the information you want in an easy-to-understand format while remaining neutral. Providing nonprofit information to a broad audience at no cost to those users is an important part of our public service, one that we pledge to continue."

Each tier builds your organizational profile from basic information through progress impact measurement.

This Silver Status awards Richmond Catholic Theatre with another platform for reaching future audience members and donors -- Guidestar will direct donors to Richmond Catholic Theatre from their database!
